5 tips to always look put together

it is not easy to always look our best, with busy schedules sometimes there is no time to leave the house looking the way we want to. these are just a few simple tips that can help us enhance our look, make life easier when we get ready in the morning and guide us when we go shopping!

1. use accessories to enhance your look

wearing jewelery is one of the best ways to instantly upgrade a basic look. this is true for basic tees or a simple black dress, which take on a whole new life when they become a canvas for our favorite pieces.

another accessory that is worth investing in is a timeless belt, which can really help to accentuate your silhouette or bring life to a look that might seem a little too simple at first glance.

2. invest in solid basics

investing in classic, timeless pieces that stand the test of time is one of the best ways to ensure that your wardrobe stays stylish. there's no shortage of situations when we'll need them, and they're easy to wear in a variety of ways that won't make your wardrobe look the same over and over again. the list is extensive. starting with classic jeans, a white tee, a white poplin, a trenchcoat, ballerinas, white sneakers, and a black dress. obviously, a wool coat is essential, as are a blazer and leather jacket. with these pieces in your closet, you have chosen the foundation of your wardrobe. it's a true essential capsule.

3. pay attention to fit

well-structured pieces with clean lines and good materials makes the difference. by opting for a perfectly ironed wardrobe, you can achieve a look that takes very little time and effort to make you feel polished. if you can't afford to go for these options (which are much more expensive), most of the brands today offer a wide variety of models that will allow you to find the one that suits you the best.

4. color palette

our wardrobe doesn't have to be exclusively a palette of neutrals. of course, basics in beige, white, cream, black or brown are essential. pops of color can be enhanced by the contrast with the neutrals. there's nothing wrong with a brightly colored look, but to ensure a more sophisticated look, there's nothing like following the three-color rule - limiting an outfit to three colors. this helps to balance the overall impact of your outfit instead of drawing the eye in every direction. this season, try adding some red, powder blue or buttery yellow.

5. preserve your wardrobe

this is one of those basic tips that makes all the difference, whether it's keeping your clothes well ironed and free of pills, or your shoes and bags clean and shiny. any look is automatically upgraded when it meets these standards, and we're less tempted to put those items away and keep them in our wardrobes.
