10 days of sales, why we do it

if you are here because you like to read about business challenges, this is for you. if you are a customer, I have an honest conversation.

when I started CINCO, I thought I would never do sales. the prices are too honest and we don't do collections. but time changes us a little (and that's good) and teaches us something. when we went into the retail market, we had to learn some things about pricing, and over time we learned that even though we don't have collections, a winner in the past is not a winner today, and inventory is a big thing in a company.

in fact, at the end of the year, we pay a proportion of our stocks to the government. so managing stocks is a challenge for a company. on the other hand, we have to guarantee cash flow without ever creating a surplus. but the latter dilemma is unavoidable. and that's why sales happen.


a time to sell off items that are no longer best sellers, at more competitive but still interesting prices. and then we come to 10 days of sales. what we've been doing for the last year is selecting our 20 to 40 down sellers and putting them on sale for 10 days, with a discount of 30 to 40%. why this number? we believe it's the number of designs we'll be able to introduce over the year and which will be withdrawn after the sales. with these products, we're introducing the concept of shortage, as it's the last chance for the general public to have access to them, for a short period of time, because the concept of sales doesn't really coincide with our parent strategy.
