the trendy sleek bun everyone is talking about

the trendy sleek bun everyone is talking about

without a doubt, the wedding of sofia richie and elliot grainge was the event of the season. the setting was absolutely idyllic at the exclusive hotel du cap-eden-roc in antibes, in the south of france. this topic dominated conversations on instagram, tik tok and fashion magazines. luckily, there was no room for secrecy!  we followed the elegance of the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, the looks of the after party, videos of how to get the perfect makeup and... the classic sleek bun were all over the internet.

this simple bun, a timeless bridal classic, was chosen not only by the bride, but also by her sister, nicole richie, and paris hilton. with slight variations, each look exuded sophistication.

we are obsessed!!! this look is perfect for any hair type and can even be used to hide a "bad hair day". even if you are not a bride or on your way to a mega event, this updo is all you need to achieve that "quiet luxury" aesthetic. celebrity hairstylist katheen riley shared all the tips to get the gorgeous hair: unite oil and got2be glued gel.

unite oil

got2be glued gel

the bun, not too low and not too high, has the height of a classic ballerina and leaves just a little fluidity to frame the face. after applying the gel and oil, riley adds a few scrunchies to the top to add texture and, expert tip, the bun must be done in sections. once the hair is carefully picked up, a simple braid is enough, folded into a bun and secured with pins. finally, a slightly loose touch at the ears to achieve perfection.

does it look easy? I'll to try it myself this week! it is, without a doubt, the most elegant up-do of the season.
